LincDesign was appointed by a national food manufacture specialising in the production of bakery products to upgrade their welfare facilities, offices, changing rooms and production toilets to improve hygiene and sanitation. The existing changing layout was poor with inadequate space, storage and difficult for production staff to navigate. The layout and had to be redesigned to optimize efficiencies of personnel, storage and laundry recycling.
LincDesign provided a clean and well-designed changing room layout, new staff canteen/ welfare areas, a new reception and office accommodation split over 2 floors. The staff canteen was design to accommodate 50 staff member, the changing rooms and toilets were designed with hygiene and sanitation in mind with defined production/ street side changing, dual lockers and well-defined people flows also incorporating features such as touchless taps, soap dispensers and hand dryers.
To maintain production during construction and prior the refurbishment of the staff office accommodation the welfare facilities, changing rooms and production toilets were temporarily located at first floor.
