Barn conversion

Planning consent was sought for the conversion of the existing barn into a four-bedroom dwelling, the complex ‘U-shaped’ in plan divided into three elements, a single storey cart shed and stable block connecting to a main 2-storey granary and hay loft. The exterior walls were retained but required extensive repairs to the dilapidated masonry, new floors were provided throughout and a complete new roof was required. Extensive internal alterations were carried out and a new 2-storey extension built to form a spacious open plan ground floor with a beautiful formal living room.

The former cart shed was converted into an open plan lounge sitting area and dining area leading from a spacious kitchen area opening onto the private garden. There is an extra room on the ground floor that can be used as a bedroom or an additional living room with a shower room off the hallway. First floor there are 3 generous bedrooms including a master bedroom with en-suite and a family bathroom.
